NAUSEATED / NAUSEOUS
People often say they feel nauseous when what they actually mean is that they feel nauseated. Something nauseous induces nausea whereas to feel nauseated is to feel sick at the stomach.
INCORRECT: Whenever I drive by the garbage dump, I roll up the windows of the car so I won’t get nauseous.

CORRECT: If you live near a paper mill, you eventually get used to the nauseous fumes.
