Fantasy Anansi Boys

Anansi Boys, by Neil Gaiman:

Fat Charlie, who is not fat, is a great singer too afraid to sing till after his heretofore-unknown-to-him brother, Spider, arrives at Charlie’s London flat, magic in hand, and alters Charlie’s future in fantasy novel ANANSI BOYS. When Spider moves in and steals Charlie’s fiancée Rosie’s heart, Charlie invokes Bird Woman to make him go away, a move made in haste and soon regretted. As son of the legendary god Anansi, Charlie now must find his own song to save the lives of Spider and Rosie and to rescue the world from an eternity of darkness and cruelty.
