The Light Between Oceans, by M.L. Stedman
When a boat carrying a dead man and an infant washes ashore in 1926 on isolated Janus Rock, Western Australia, in literary novel THE LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS, lightkeeper Tom Sherbourne and his wife, Isabel, who has just miscarried, claim the baby as their own. By the time they learn the mother is still alive, the tendrils of love have wound so tightly around their hearts that Isabel can’t give up the child and Tom can’t deny Isabel this singular consolation. But as deceit grows, their marriage crumbles, leaving only a chasm to be filled by remorse and sealed by forgiveness.
