Prince Charming, by Julie Garwood
In historical romance PRINCE CHARMING, young, independent-minded Lady Taylor agrees to a temporary marriage to American westerner Lucas Ross as a means of protecting Taylor’s orphaned two-year-old nieces from their greedy uncle. The newlyweds surreptitiously leave 1868 London and sail to Boston to take charge of the twins only to discover that they have been sold to slave traders. As Lucas risks his life to save the children and Taylor then travels with them to the Montana Territory to be near her husband, the “temporary” arrangement evolves into something much more permanent: a loving family.
