State of Fear, by Michael Crichton
Young Peter Evans, favorite lawyer of philanthropist billionaire George Morton, believes in global warming and his client’s efforts to save the environment in eco thriller STATE OF FEAR. But after George’s fatal accident, Peter joins with agent John Kenner, traveling the globe to remote areas where international intelligence indicates eco-terrorists have schemed to create four catastrophic climate-related events in conjunction with a major Los Angeles environmental conference. As Peter repeatedly risks his life to prevent these catastrophes, he learns that our scientific beliefs are not always based on true science and even “the good guys” can be villains.
