Coffin Road, by Peter May:
Mankind’s fate hangs in the balance after a biologist finds himself washed ashore in the Outer Hebrides with no idea who he is in eco-thriller COFFIN ROAD. As he struggles to remember, his teenage daughter learns that he, believed to have been dead two years, is alive. While he searches for answers to his identity and to who killed the man he found dead at the Flannan Isles Lighthouse, she follows his trail to the same remote location where both face death at the hands of agrochemical henchmen paid to retrieve the biologist’s secret test results on neonicotinoids and bees.
