The Cold Moon, by Jeffery Deaver
Tick-tock. When identical clocks accompanied by a note from “the Watchmaker” are found at two New York City murder scenes on the same night, brilliant quadriplegic criminalist Lincoln Rhyme and police detective Amelia Sachs race against time to prevent more murders by torture in series crime novel THE COLD MOON. Aided by a kinesics expert, Rhyme’s team discovers that nothing is as it seems and that the Watchmaker’s true plans would kill far more people than the ten on his original list. Rhyme foils the lethal plot, but the Watchmaker evades capture. Has Rhyme met his match this time?
