Certain sets of words in the English language tend to confuse people. I have found the following to be among them:
ASSURE / ENSURE / INSURE
These three verbs are interchangeable in certain contexts in that they all can mean make someone or something sure. However, their nuances differ: to assure is to promise; to ensure is to make certain; to insure is to safeguard.
CORRECT: I assure you it will ensure greater peace of mind for you if you insure your home against fire and flood damage.
